What is your favourite book?

Such a difficult question to answer....for me it would be what is my favourite book at the moment?  And even then I can think of about three instantly and then I go into mind warp as I think about the book I'm reading at the moment, and then there are all the books I can't get rid of because I will want to re-read them the minute I do, and then there are all those books that I have always loved for all time and just go back to over and over....Here is one guy's view...

You can find the Redwall series in our library, so if they sound like something you might like, issue them today!

writers, writers, everywhere!

Firstly a huge thank you to whoever organises the many writers tours to all our schools.  Yesterday we (70 students, 3 teachers and me) went to Maidstone Intermediate to listen and laugh with Andy Griffiths (the Bad Book, the very bad book, just disgusting! ....et al) It is wonderful to see the rapt attention and eager participation from students who think writing and reading is sooo boooring!  Long may Andy keep writing and inspiring!  www.andygriffiths.com.au
Then in June HIBS is hosting Chris Paolini (Eragon).  That is so exciting! www.alagaesia.com
But wait there's more: next term Derek Landy (aka Skulduggery Pleasant) is visiting Raroa Intermediate.  www.skulduggerypleasant.com
So check out the websites and read the books and then go to your school library and register to come and hear them speak!
